Located in Boston's historic South End, the Factory Theatre is a 49-seat Black Box Theatre, with high ceilings and beautiful exposed bricks. While the named has changed several times, from the Beau Jest Moving Theatre to the Devanaughn Theatre to its current life as The Factory Theatre, the space has always remained a popular and affordable option for small and fringe theatres.

We are delighted to be spending our fifth season at this haven for small theatres, especially after our wonderful experience here this past summer with our participation in FeverFest 09: Friction.

The Factory Theatre is located on the left side half-way down the lot.

Parking

PLEASE NOTE: do NOT park in the Piano Craft Guild parking lot! It is for residents of the PCG ONLY, you will be towed and we’d hate for that to happen.

Parking is available on the street (Tremont and Columbus usually have spaces, and you can park in any of the residential spaces on Northhampton or Camdem streets on Saturdays and Sundays). For a small fee, parking is also available in the Garage on Northampton St.

Dining Options

The neighborhood around the Factory Theatre is thriving, and there are a number of wonderful dining options either before or after the performance. In particular, we recommend:

The Stork Club

Located at the corner of Columbus and Northampton, The Stork Club is a comfortable jazz club with an excellent menu and great drinks. Perfect for after show drinks and meals.

Columbus Cafe

A Whistler favorite - tiny and intimate, the Columbus Cafe serves delicious drinks and meals (as well as the best mac'n'cheese we've ever tried) and opens at 5pm every night.
