Continuing to build on the work started last season with our series of New Play Readings, Whistler Wednesdays returns for a second season, with a smaller scope but much greater detail.
Building off of the success of our first Whistler Wednesdays series, next season Whistler will be placing the emphasis on the collaboration between playwright, director and actors. To that end, this season's series provides playwrights with 4 days of collaboration: one round-table reading weeks prior to two consecutive workshop days with a director and actors before a final staged reading for an audience on the fourth day.
With a different director and cast for each reading, Whistler Wednesdays promise to introduce the Whistler audience to a host of new voices and artists in Boston. Following each of the readings, you'll have the chance to join the playwright, director and actors for a moderated conversation about the work.
